Pretty much that really ^^

Had a very successful recovery. Driving again, lifting car seat, walking as usual again etc. Had wound checked at 6 week check and Dr said it was fine.

I’ve wore some pairs of underwear the past 2 days that weren’t the big black ugly high waisted knickers I’ve been wearing for the past 7 weeks and they’be dug in on my wound and I have 3 small what look like holes which are bleeding.

Any advice on what to do when this happens? I can’t get in touch with my GP until Monday, would 111 be the next port of call?

Thank you x

Hi op.

Can you post a photo? No worries if not! I'm not a Dr or anything! But 111 will probably tell you to wait and contact your GP if the wound isn't infected / you don't have a high temperature etc. Give them a call anyway for reassurance.

My friend had similar and the Gp put some steri strips on the wound to help it heal that way.

Keep it clean, and dry and go back to the baggy underwear. Hopefully someone who's been through similar will be alone soon.

Thank you for the response! I think I’m more reassured to hear that steri strips were used in your friends instance - all night I’ve been thinking I’ll need sutures put in again 🙈

I’ll get my DH to have a good look and call 111 if things are looking a bit gooey/inflamed.
