Successful sweep?

I’m due today, had a sweep yesterday and bled a little after. Today I feel like I’ve had my bloody show or it might just be some of my mucus plug with old blood from yesterday. FTM so not too sure, there was quite a lot of mucus.

No contractions or period like pains yet, has anyone had a successful sweep? How long after did you start to go into labour.

This is going back nearly a year, so my memory is a little hazy. I had a sweep on 40w plus 1, which did nothing. I then had another on 40w plus 4 days and had the baby 36hours later. I think the sweep did make my waters go....but it was a very slow leak, a bit of colour and hard to tell if the water was there. I could never discern a plug. Nothing like period pains, but I kind I "knew" it was starting. Then things got started at night. My Mum says everything happens at 3am - like it's a a witching hour. Good luck OP

I had a sweep on my due date, had a few cramps after but then nothing all day. Had a good long bounce on my birthday ball in the evening...and my waters broke at about 9pm. My labour didn't start though so I had to be induced the following evening but it definatly started things off

I had a sweep and was told it was unsuccessful as they couldn't get to my cervix properly.
My waters broke the next day. No cramping, no mucus plug, no pain.
They induced me the day after and had DS the day after that.
Worst thing was the sweep! I felt violated! 😳

How long is a piece of string? You could go into labour right now or it could be a few days or week. You won't know if it was due to the sweep or just a coincidence!
