Clitoral pain postpartum

Hi all,
I gave birth nearly 3 weeks ago, a week after giving birth I started to notice my clitoral area was uncomfortable.
Its not all the time however it is there and even though I'm still sensitive down there its the thing that's annoying me the most!
I wanted a water birth and was in the water for a couple of hours but my contractions slowed right down and I had to get out, once I was out I had to go wee which I couldn't go so I had a catheter put in, only so I could empty my bladder that one time, I started to have a contraction and the midwife took it out...
I spoke to the health visitor this week about it and she advised its more than likely hurting due to trauma.
I've been taking paracetamol and taking baths most days, does anyone have any tips on what I can do to help make this go away?

This is not uncommon at all due to birth trauma, and it should be easing up fairly soon. I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. Congratulations on your new baby!

You've squeezed a human out that area OP, it's taken a battering and will be a bit bruised. It will heal though in time.

Not much help I know.

Personally, a bit Epsom salts in a bath can work miracles for all sorts of aches and pains. It helps heal loads of areas.

Even using a disolved spoonful in hot water cooled can help keep your mouth healthy for eg.

I found this happened to me but I realised it was the huge maternity pads rubbing.
