Bleeding after elective c section- bright red again. Normal?

With 1st emergency section I had blood then lochia for about 5 weeks but lighter pink then yellow and def lochia smell.

I am 3 weeks post elective section. Bleeding after the first 2 days was light, then pink then yellow and not a lot and stopped after just over a week. I would then go days with nothing then a little more so kept pads in. At 2 weeks I got proper blood again. Quite dark blood to begin with and googled this which said it could be the placenta scan coming off the lining of the womb. It has continued for a week and been bright red like a period. Enough to wear a pad to catch it but def blood and fresh looking blood not lochia. No signs of any infection though and no period symptoms like cramps. It mainly comes in a wee rush when breastfeeding which is probably causing uterus to contract.

I am assuming this is normal? Or is it a very light initial period after 2 weeks post birth?

I'm having similar but now 4 weeks after elcs so hoping someone has advice as mine is definitely not as heavy as my usual periods but also red. I bled for 6 weeks with my son, also elcs, but this seems more sporadic. Not bf any more so very confused what's going on. Hope you get some answers.
