Bleeding after c section

Hi, this is a ridiculous thing for me to be worrying about but since my section 4 days ago I’ve barely had any bleeding. Much lighter than a normal period and apart from the first 12hours is only really been spotting. My previous baby was a vaginally delivery and I had heavy bleeding after. Is this normal for a caesarean?

It might start up again. Mine stopped and started for about 5 weeks before completely stopping.

I should just be pleased rather than worrying it’s a sign somethings wrong!

I bled loads after my first (EMCS) but very little after my second (ELCS), I think they remove some of the lining during the op so it doesn't have to come out that way. I'd keep the pads handy though, although it was only spotting, mine was still on and off for weeks.

I had a vaginal delivery with my first and the bleeding was horrendous but my second (8 months ago) I had a csection and there was minimal bleeding which lasted a week then, increased slightly as I got more active for a few days then had spotting for about a week and that was it. I am sure it is because they suction most of it out during the surgery.

I have had 3 c sections and very light bleeding for all 3. It lasted about 3days, definitely less than a week.

Oh my god you’re lucky. I bled heavily for 10 weeks (yes weeks!) post my emergency c section (for my twins, so double placental site... but even so!)

I had an emergency c-section and finally stopped bleeding after ten weeks.
