Second baby, hardly had any sleep over last two days due to DC1 having bad night Friday which kept me up until 4 and then waking with pains about 1am last night

Contractions now about every 2.5-3 mins and so so painful. They slow a bit if I sit or lie down but I've been walking around the room for last four hours and just feel knackered. In MLU and don't really want pain relief as want to get back to DC1 ASAP, I miss her so much. She's 2

Can write in between contractions but it's unbearable then. Is there anything I can do which will help? I can't imagine ever having the baby here and just want to go home to DC1 and go to sleep!

Congratulations! I was thinking it sounded like you were going through transition. I was very like that in my second labour, suddenly had a need to be with my first child (who was at nursery), felt very emotional just thinking about them and was about to insist my DH go and pick her up when I started pushing!

I hope you are enjoying some lovely newborn snuggles!

I read your first post thinking surely she’ll have had the baby a few comments in ! Grin I had a baby a few weeks ago and was in labour 1.5 hours so it was very easy for me to reflect back! My first labour was 11 hours and I was induced.
With my second I never thought I was going to have the baby so soon. The contractions were just minutes apart (like yours) and I remember trying to walk into the hospital in the middle of the night thinking I can’t do this for much longer I’m going to need an epidural. I got on the bed and was 10cm!!

I’d been watching re runs of one born every minute a few weeks ago and one of the old series starts with a woman throwing herself through the doors and onto the floor. I remember thinking ‘oh for god sake’ and rolling my eyes..... that was me this time Grin

Congratulations!!
