Elcs alone?

Hello

I have Dd who is two and who is with me 24.7. Dh is a farmer and works ridiculous hours.

Baby two due soon, Elcs booked. Dh brother and wife closest location wise, same farm, but are not adhering to covid guidelines at all. Seven households there today. Sad. My parents have my sisters kids every day, childcare. Inlaws have other grandkids most days.

I'm feeling really anxious about Dd and her being alone or scared.

I think best option is to go alone, which I don't have an issue with and dh stay with her.

I just wondered has anyone done this? Any thoughts or advice?

Thank you.

When I had my ELC, I was pretty much off my tits afterwards with the morphine. I didn't feel super confident to be in charge of a baby at that point.
I didn't have too much pain in recovery but some people do. I've heard women say that they weren't able pick up their baby without pain.
If it's possible for you DD to go anywhere else (with your sister perhaps?) I think you will appreciate having your DH there.

Thank you. Yeah Dd was a section, I'm sorry I should have said that. I was ok, up fairly quick, shower etc. I struggled overnight night one but dh had gone home by then anyway.

My sister works front line and Dd barely knows her.

Sil is best option but I'm just so upset at her today. Maybe hormones but ridiculous amount of people there.

Thank you.
