I previously posted but wanted add more see anyone could help

I'm 6 nearly 7weeks postpartum my lochia stopped around week 3 I then had 2 weeks no bleeding then on sunday I started what the midwife said was my period
Its day 6 my periods usually last 7 and it's still heavy and bright red and dark red blood and last night I had loads of clots some size of golf balls my period usually lightens around day 6
Today I phoned the midwife again who said to monitor my blood loss and if I filled a pad in 30 mins to phone back otherwise wait and if I'm still bleeding Monday contact my gp
I'm so stressed with this and down feel like I'm back at the start and not getting better I has loads trouble with my c section incision now that's healed it's just something else

Anyone else's first period this bad
Did yours stay heavy then just stop or did it lighten
Just scaring me abit this is my first baby so dont know what's normal just hoping someone can give me some experiences give me big hope that I'll be back normal soon

Sounds pretty normal for a postpartum period, yep. They're often heavy, irregular and clotty for a while afterwards. If there are no signs of infection and you aren't filling a pad in 30mins it's usually not a worry.

I bled solidly for 6 weeks post CS. It could be that a clot got stuck in your cervix and stop the blood coming out, but now the backed up bleeding is coming loose?

Not sure they keep saying its period and I did have period symptoms before it started
Hopefully it stops before Monday

Did your periods or bleeding stay heavy until theh stopped

Mine was like a constant heavy period for weeks. Apparently you bleed more after a CS. Make sure you stay hydrated and take vitamins/iron supplements.
