I've had 2 CSs and didn't use a binder with either. Granny pants and leggings/pjs were really comfy.

I've had to C secitons and don't know what an abdominal binder is!

Definitely big pants, I kept wearing maternity leggings for a long time too.

Surely as you know you will be having a c-section it will be a ELCS (elective) not an EMCS (emergency)?

Agree that big granny pants, maternity leggings or skirts / dresses are best as they place no pressure on the wound. I can't imagine anything worse than a binder tight around the scar

As far as am aware you are not supposed to wear any abdominal belt or binder for 5-6 weeks after C Sections.. like PPs above, would suggest loose maternity pants or maternity dresses..

@Anurulz what about the "c panty" is that good to wear after surgery

I looked it up now, had no idea what the C Panty was tbh.. it said the material is silicone.. I don't know if that would be comfortable really.. you would need to keep the scar dry and I think loose cotton pants or dresses would be most comfortable at first..

I’ve looked into this quite a lot having had two sections previously and another one due imminently. I didn’t use one last two times but I really struggled last time with severe back pain and weakness for a long time during and after recovery. I really wanted to make sure I had some kind of support this time. I’ve made sure I have loads of snug leggings (high waited sweaty Betty types) and I’ve also purchased a physio recommended tank top and belly wrap from a Canadian company Bellies Inc. the wrap is really light and supports up from the bottom rather than putting pressure on top. It also comes with advice on light pelvic exercises and breathing to get yourself back on the path to recovery (all super gentle). I plan to wear it once the incision has healed on the outside but not before. So probably at least a week or so from memory, which is fine as I plan on doing nothing those first days anyway! I don’t want to risk infection before that so will be loose leggings and tops prior. It wasn’t cheap once imported but I liked that it was recommended by a local women’s physio here where I live who really knows her stuff and had imported one herself for her own csection. Other options I saw recommended on here are mother trucker leggings by I think belly bandit. Most of the other binders I saw seemed very severe.
