I got my maternal request c section that I'm really happy about but it's like now it's only just properly hit me. Like this is real. There going to be cutting me open. In two weeks. I'm really scared now I wasn't before 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I went through this. Terrified about labouring in mid pregnancy and lost sleep over the thought I wouldn’t get a elcs. Then at the end less than a week before the cs I decided I didn’t want one. I was absolutely terrified of the thought of another cs. Don’t know why the previous emcs was problem free. I didn’t have to face the cs as I went into labour before hand and had a VBAC.
My first section was fine though, baby out before I realised, no pain just a sensation when they pulled him out. Was given a wrapped up baby to hold. I don’t hold him
for long because I had the shakes so they’ve gave him to oh. Then I went to sleep because I was so exhausted from the labour before the cs.
Pain afterwards was totally fine on paracetamol and ibuprofen, as in if I took the tablets I didn’t have any pain. I did get stuck in bed a couple of times and had to be rescued but I could bend down to floor easily. Drove after 2 weeks. Scar healed fine. Had twinges and numbness for quite a few months but my episiotomy gives me twinges too.
I’m sure it’ll all be fine and you will get to meet you baby.
