Gas and Air Side Effects

Hi, I had my daughter through induction three weeks ago and only had gas and air, since then I've had a dry cough and keep losing my voice and have to clear my throat to get it back, it's not COVID as I got tested in the hospital, think I might have overdone it with the gas and air and that has somehow affected my lungs, I will mention it to the health visitor when I next see them but does anyone have any experience of this?

I doubt it’s the gas and air. It can give you a dry throat but not for three weeks. Did you get tested afterwards/before leaving hospital for Covid too?

That isn't a side effect of gas & air. Probably a coincidence.

I ended up with a really dry throat for ages afterwards. I think it was due to the weird noises that I was making!! Prolonged groaning etc

There’s a high false negative rate with Covid tests, and you might have picked it up in the hospital I think it’s worth a test.

I had a horrible dry throat & cough as well as a horrible taste in my mouth after maxing out on as much gas & air as I could get my hands on, also like other posters have said it was possibly partly from all the noises Grin. I don't remember it lasting more than a few days though so definitely worth getting another covid test if it doesn't go away.
