Really hoping I have a break before they start lol

9 months for me, I was breastfeeding too. Bliss...! Smile

Laanet · 02/11/2020 14:39

Almost exactly a year both times (was also breastfeeding)

ThePerfectRose · 02/11/2020 14:41

Didn’t get my period until 15 months after when I stopped breastfeeding. One of the many perks! Smile

lockdownpregnancy · 02/11/2020 18:28

I'm 6 weeks post partum and bottle feeding. Can anyone tell me when their period started for them?

firstimemamma · 02/11/2020 18:39

Breastfeeding. 7 months.

SocialBees · 02/11/2020 18:41

I was breastfeeding, it was between 7 and 9 months each time (I have three DC).

twoofusburningmatches · 02/11/2020 19:01

Breastfeeding - almost 10 months.

Fruggalo · 02/11/2020 19:02

12 months / 11.5 months /14 months. Was breastfeeding each time.

Followtheyellowsicktoad · 02/11/2020 19:07

Breastfeeding, 14 months - but never got around to having a period as I got pregnant instead 😁 and then 2 blissful years. Altogether 5 years with no periods. I was very lucky! A friend was breastfeeding and hers returned within 3 months.

Hm2020 · 02/11/2020 19:09

Not breastfeeding it was literally a couple of days after the Lochia stopped

Dmtush · 02/11/2020 19:11

Breastfed exclusively on demand all three of mine,

Baby 1 - 9 weeks
Baby 2 - 9 months
Baby 3 - 21 bastard days

FTMF30 · 02/11/2020 19:11

Breastfeeding and it came after 4 flipping months 😑. I was gutted.

MerryGoRoundBrain · 02/11/2020 19:13

4 weeks to the day after I had stopped expressing. I only managed 12 weeks of exclusively expressing, so only 16 weeks without period Sad

DiscordandRhyme · 02/11/2020 19:14

I was 14 months post pregnancy with one and unsure other as had the implant.

cautiouscovidity · 02/11/2020 19:18

DD was about 5 months. She started sleeping through the night quite early.

DS was about 8-9 months. He didn't sleep so well and hence fed regularly during the night.

Once you stop feeding frequently and there are often gaps of more than 3-4 hours between feeds, your ovaries ping back into action and your first period follows about 2 weeks later (hence why you can get pregnant again without having a period first).

Pinkflipflop85 · 02/11/2020 19:21

Ds - breastfed. Took about 3 years to come back.

Currently feeding dd (1 year old) and no sign of them yet.

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 02/11/2020 19:59

9 months with my first and about 15 months with my second I think. Both breastfed.

enelcielo · 02/11/2020 20:18

Around a year, once I went back to work and cut down feeds

Peasbewithyou · 02/11/2020 20:30

More than 2 years the first 2 times, then about 18 months with my youngest. Prolactin stops ovulation if it’s at high enough levels so fingers crossed for a nice long break OP!

GirlCalledJames · 02/11/2020 20:30

Bf, 10 months.

sarahc336 · 02/11/2020 22:28

Bottle feeding here and my first one was at about 6 weeks xx

elliejjtiny · 02/11/2020 22:33

Breastfed all of mine and period came back after 6 weeks every time.

eurochick · 02/11/2020 22:35

16 weeks, even though baby was on 100% expressed milk for months after. Angry

happymummy12345 · 02/11/2020 22:38

I exclusively formula fed. My lochia lasted for 3 weeks, 2 weeks 'proper' then 1 week where it was sort of finishing, so much lighter, if that makes sense?
Then I got my 1st period about 2-3 weeks after that. I went back on the combined pill from my 6 week check so have only had withdrawal bleeds since.
