Hi all
I had an ELCS Wednesday and had my compression stockings on, took them off for a shower Thursday and then back on again. Midwife said I didn't need them on if I didn't want too as I didn't score high enough, but if I wanted to I could keep them on it was up to me, but if I keep them on take them off after 9 days. Anyway I said I'd wear them until Saturday just for my own peace of mind so she gave me a few pairs.
Just removed them (so nice to see my 'normal' legs again!) and had a shower, and have left them off with no intention of wearing them anymore. Anyway my left ankle is a little swollen since removing them - no pain, tingling, redness or anything like that and my leg looks totally normal; not swollen, red, hot or anything. How can I reduce it? I've got my leg elevated but I'm literally lying on the bed like some sort of Greek painting with it resting on the headboard so if there's any other way I'm open to it
