3weeks postpartum bleeding

So i did a silly thing ,
just over 3 weeks postpartum and had sex with my partner, didnt hurt and felt fine but 2 days after doing so i am now bleeding bright red with some small clots.
Should i be worried, has anyone else been silly enough to do the same thing?

I'm just coming up to 6 weeks post partum and just about ready to have sex with DH after c section.
I was still bleeding at 3 weeks so it may be some final bleeding coming out of you and having sex has just made that happen.

Fair play, i didn't have sex for 6 monthd till i was finished breastfeeding, for me i couldn't have imagined anything worse.

If you're worried ask your health visitor or call the doctor?

@2020mum1 hi as per we questions like this mostly judging rather than help 🙄
I had sex 12 days pp after c section! I had stopped bleeding 3 days pp after a week totally removed any pads etc! Now I stopped half way as I started to feel uncomfortable (think wa sin my head) two days later I had a secondary haemorrhage at home went back into hospital and I was so scared that it was due to sex and was told my multiple midwifes and doctors that the wait 6/8 week is very outdated and basically a load of rubbish! They told me that you can have sex as soon as you feel able ! For some it's 1 week others 10
So basically I don't know if the bleeding was from sex was yours natural or c sectio? It's more like from been strenuous, mine was an infection that was more likely to be from c section

The bleeding stopped again 3 days after having sex so I put it down to being normal. After birth your bleeding comes and goes I have been told.
My birth was all natural, I was scared to have sex but surprisingly didn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable at all.
