Hi ladies, just hoping someone can offer me some advice, I apologise in advance if this is far TMI but this is what has happened so far...

On Thursday I went for my hospital appointment as was 5 days overdue, Dr did a membrane sweep, adv me that I am between 1-2 cm dilated (2nd child, so isn't it normal to be slightly dilated?)and cervix is soft and very "favourable."

Booked me an induction for Tues. when I will be 10 days overdue and advised me that I will probably not need it as should go in to labour very soon.

A few hours after the sweep I had a show which is still continuing, it is almost a constant clear mucous that I am losing. Does it normally carry on for so long or could this be my waters? Also lost mucous plug.

Anyway just wanting to get some opinions, does everything sound ok? Had the odd pain but no contractions yet.

Thanks for reading!

J

A show can last over a few days - it did with me -

You say you are losing it constantly - do you need a pad? If it is constant, then maybe it is your waters leaking. Does it have any colour to it? When my waters broke, it was a yellow straw colour with white flecks.

Maybe you could phone the delivery ward and ask for advice?

Thanks Belgo, it is pretty constant but pad not needed, it is also clear and sticky. Pretty sure now that it is a show, didn't realise that it would go on for sooo long.

Time to do a long needed project... sort photos into albums or something.

Looking forward to your birth announcement.
