Post partum bleeding

I'm 19 days after an emergency c section
And I'm still bleeding it's not much and sometimes it stops for a few hours then comes back
Sometimes these a little gush like after breastfeeding
It's still red and goes pink sometimes

Is this normal I thought it would be gone by now or just brown discharge

Is it normal to stop and start

I had the same thing. On and off bleeding, more after breastfeeding. It lasted 2 months and was totally normal.

I'm coming up to 4 weeks after my c section and I've only just stopped bleeding. Discharge is still brown but it's just discharge now no bleeding

I'm 32 days post emcs section and still bleeding

It can last up to 6 weeks unfortunately. The doctors say unless the amount of blood is increasing then it’s all normal.

I read that breastfeeding encourages the womb to contract, and that is why you get a gush of blood.
