I have been induced twice. The first was 2.5 years ago and was quite lengthy. I was in hospital for 3 days before a bed eventually became available on the labour ward on the 4th morning. I was started with the 24 hour pessary which didnt do much, I then had a round of gel which started off mild contractions. Got my waters broke in delivery rook on the 4th morning. Once I got put on the drip babys heart rate kept dropping so the drip was turned off and on a lot. I eventually opted for an epidural as I had been in pain for hours. 14 hours later I delivered baby with no interventions. 2nd induction was just over 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic! From having waters broke and put on the drip to baby my labour was 3 and a half hours. I managed on gas and air alone. The pain from the drip is more intense in my experience so if you feel you need an epidural I would definitely take it. Good luck! Inductions can have its complications just like spontaneous labour so try to stay positive and enjoy the experience.

I've been induced twice. With DC1 it did take ages to get going and it ended in Emcs because his oxygen levels dropped (I blame the midwife care but that is a long, long story! He was also back to back.)
DC3 was induced and it was a brilliant experience. Induction/labour really kicked in at 8pm, she was born at 1am. I kept mobile and followed my instincts for positions and moving.
Good luck.
