I'm due to have a csection at the Portland (very lucky to have insurance that covers it). I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and Im very miserable on my strict diet.

I intend to eat EVERYTHING as soon as the baby is born. I've been searching the internet looking for menus or pictures of the food at the Portland and there is weirdly nothing (apart from things from that documentary a few years ago) . I've got 6 weeks to go and I'd really appreciate some inspiration!! Please send me pics to show me there is light at this end of this carb free tunnell!!!! Honestly even super boring food would cheer me up!!

Sorry for the ridiculous request Smile

Sorry I can’t help from personal experience but you could check @clairechanelle on Instagram. I don’t think she gave birth at the Portland she gave birth in kensington but she may have info on what their menu is. She also had a C section so may help with queries with that too. Good Luck and enjoy eating what you want again! X

Years ago (about 15 plus) I had an op at the Portland. I don't recall a 'menu' but I did have a morphine drip Grin
I do, however, remember phoning up at midnight to request a fruit platter and chicken omlettte.... They obliged

Make sure you have the afternoon tea. It is lush 😍

I had three operations there. I was so impressed with the food I begged to stay longer than recommended (or paid for by my insurance) 😂😂
