I had an emergency c section 7 days ago
Today I had my pico bandage and staples removed that put on a few paper stitches and will be back in 2 days to check
After I started walking it feels so weird but uncomfortable is this normal
How long did it take your wound be healed

I'm two weeks after mine but my stitches will dissolve. I found each day gets easier and easier. Today I actually was able to take my dog for a half hour walk and experienced no pain or discomfort.
My main tip is rest, rest, rest. Get your DP or anyone helping you to do as much for you as you can. You will reap the benefits in a few days, trust me!

Its been 5 weeks since I had mine, I also had dissolvable stitches and I'm almost back to normal, every day gets easier just don't do what I did and over do it, then suffer for a few days 🤦🏻‍♀️😳

Keep on top of the pain meds for as long as you need them..

As for the bleeding, mine was only slightly heavier than a period, lasted probably 2 weeks. If you're concerned about anything though ask your midwife or HV, no questions are too silly 😁

I felt weird for weeks after, like I had no strength in my legs. I remember showering about 6 weeks after and suddenly realising it was the first day I felt 'normal '.

I had my emergency c-section 5 weeks ago today.

Pico dressing came off on day 7 and my wound had been glued so no stitches or staples to come out. Was quite sore still but was only taking painkillers once a day. I’m quite resilient with pain though so was never kept down by it for long.

I definitely felt more normal once the dressing was off as the battery pack from the Pico dressing by made me feel like I was a really ill person lol.

I went to a theme park and shopping twice with our other DDs and husband. Oh those days I was walking 10 mile plus and did over do it to the point I had to go back to my painkillers.

PP bleeding was a lot lighter than after my previous two natural births but did last 3 weeks.

@Lily189 my bleeding has started to tail off now but it was mega heavy for the first 10 days.
The couple of days it's become a lot lighter! Be nice to use normal pads instead of the whopping great big fat maternity pads I've been using! 🤪🤪
