St Heliers Hospital

Hello all,

I know a similar thread was written a few years ago but I would really like some recent experiences/opinions, given the current situation with Covid.

I'm due to give birth in February but will be moving five minutes from St Heliers before then. The next nearest would be my preference, St George's, but if traffic is bad it could take up to 45 minutes to get there. Unfortunately I've read a lot of negative reviews about the anti/post-natal care at St Heliers and wondered what experiences people have had there in the last couple of years. Please be honest, so I can make the right decision!

Thank you in advance!X

@Tecalina
How funny, I'm due 16th February and I'm with St Helier.

The service has been incredible so far. Obviously there's not too much interaction just yet as only 21 weeks. But I've been through A&E before at St Helier, along with an operation, and they could not do more for me. You'll be absolutely fine there :)

@cat709 That's really reassuring to know because the reviews online are really terrible - poor post-natal care, filthy maternity ward, lack of organisation etc. It's really worrying when it's the more convenient hospital! I'm due a week after you! How have you found it all so far?
