Has anyone ever made their own decision to have a planned c-section? Did you face any problems with the midwives, doctors etc trying to put you off? I’m due my 3rd baby in 12 weeks and, with 2 traumatic natural deliveries before, I’m going to request a c-section this time. I’m just wondering what anyone else’s experience of requesting this was? Thank you

I had a protracted labour which ended in EMCS with my first. I was asked at my booking in appointment how/where I'd like to give birth and indicated my preferred hospital specifically because I wanted a section. Had a consultant appointment at 15 weeks and had my ELCS booked then and there. Gobsmacked isn't the word. Every MW I've come across has said they'd do the same re birth choice.

I had an ELCS with my first (and only) one consultant did want me to consider a vaginal delivery but wasn't pushy and I stick to my guns.
