Which hospital shall I choose?

Hi all! I'm only 4.5 weeks but I've discovered that our gp no longer offers a midwife service so I have to register with the hospital we want to birth at then we will get assigned a midwife. I wasn't expecting to have to make this decision so soon, and as we are waiting for our scan to tell everyone I can't ask friends and family for advice!

I live in West Sussex, so I believe my main choices would be East Surrey in Redhill and Princess Royal in Hayward's heath. Has anyone had any experiences of either of these or would you recommend a different hospital? Any help appreciated!

(I was admitted to east Surrey last month for a few days and didn't have the best experience, especially with the night staff, I felt like none of the departments communicated with each other which meant my care never really progressed, so I'm curious to see if anyone has had a similar situation in the maternity there)

Have you read the cqc inspections? That helped me choose between hospitals.

Ah no I haven’t thank you for the tip!

Are they equidistant? I ended up with the most local one which made my life easier.

I believe so, east Surrey is a bit closer but a lot more traffic usually!

Definitely the CQC inspections
