Lose bowels: how long before labour?

lockdownpregnancy · 16/09/2020 16:50

I've had lose bowels the last couple if days. Going 2-3 times a day when before it was every other day.
I've been latent phase for two weeks and I've been getting period and back pain for that king too, as well as BH.
My question is; how long after having lose bowels did you go into labour and how far gone were you?
I'm currently 38+3
TIA

To add; when I do go to the toilet a lot comes out! It's like my body is having a clear out.
Not sure if it's because I've upped my veg in take or a sign baby is getting ready

In my case it was imminent: like, an hour before. Not days.

Opposite issue here. Bunged up for days. Finally went, as such, DD2 appeared about 2 hrs later, 36 minutes after the first recognisable contraction.

With DD1 I was sick several times during the 36hr labour.

So a clear out it seems is part of it, but for me was very different to what you’re experiencing. Good luck.

It was the day before for me

Squiffany · 16/09/2020 17:04

I don’t think your symptoms are connected to your imminent labour tbh.

lockdownpregnancy · 16/09/2020 17:49

Thanks ladies!
What do you think it is then @Squiffany ?
I'm a FTM so this is all new to me! I have no idea 🤷‍♀️

I'm similar @lockdownpregnancy. 38+4 here, body suddenly decides to clear itself. I've had lower back pains, period like pains, lightening crotch, braxton hicks and pelvic pain on and off over last couple of weeks but...nothing.
Feels like baby is headbutting and rattling it's head around my pelvis!

I've also been googling early labour symptoms like there's no tomorrow 😂

Good luck to you and hope you're not kept waiting too long.

@Margo34 I feel like that with the head butting! 🤪
I wake up in the night with so much pressure down there, feels like he's trying to escape! 😂I wish he was! Haha!
Then I move and nearly pee my pants as the pressure on my bladder! It's all good fun eh!
😂
