Big lumps on vulva after c-section

I had an EMCS 8 days ago after induction and labouring to 5cm dilated before baby went into distress. It went well and I'm recovering fine. However, I'm getting these huge lumps on my vulva, just between the inner lips and outer lips. The first one was halfway down the vulva, and has now gone. Today's is up near my clit. Not painful, just uncomfortable.

Has anyone had this? Are they cysts?? Confused

I can't actually see them due to my belly, and I don't particular want to ask DH to go poking around down there. He's seen enough this past week or so!

Midwife is coming on Thursday so i will mention them to her.

It's possible they could be something like varicose veins? I have vague recollections of a similar thing and the midwife mentioned varicose veins

Could be! How lovely 🤣 I'll definitely bring it up with the midwife tomorrow.

Thank you!

Oh yes, it's another one of those fabulous childbirth side effects that never gets a mention Grin
