Hello my lovelies. Due in January - can you tell me what are an absolute baby essentials (except nappies and clothes!). What made your life so much easier?

I would say absolute essentials are clothes, nappies and somewhere safe to sleep but nice things that make your life easier I would say:
A changing mat upstairs & downstairs
Baby bouncer
Pram
Meals in the freezer & lots of snacks
Large muslins

Perfect prep machine, Joie swing seat and lots of muslins!! Congratulations!

A sling. Carried both of mine everywhere for years Grin

If you wish to breastfeed, then a copy of The Food of Love:

It's best to be well-informed about what to expect from breastfeeding, because it's hard and quite counter-intuitive and there's lots of conflicting advice out there.

Just marking my place. Not a FTM but lots of new things have appeared on the market since I was last pregnant. 😂

Sleepsacks. Nipple cream

Hair bands - lots of - babies love pulling hair. Nappy bin.

I second the premade meals in the freezer - absolute life saver that first week. Perfect Prep machine if you're formula feeding (get the day & night one) and either large muslins or a sleepsack to keep them in the routine of being swaddled.
