Hi all! 36+5 and I was in hospital on Tuesday night with contractions coming every 4 minutes and my CTG was showing my contractions as clear as day.
Cervix has softened and started to open but not dilated at that time. I'm in the Latent phase apparently!
Whilst it's still early for baby to arrive I'm now extremely frustrated as it's been 3 days now and still nothing! I'm getting pains and period pains in my pelvis and lower back and contractions are definitely BH as they are all over the place and the intensity differs for each one.
Anyone else been through this? How long did it take you to get to full blown labour?
I just want it to start now! 😬😬😬😬

Wonder if they might induce you when you reach 37 weeks as you’ll be classed as full term. Keep bouncing on a ball, it all helps.

lockdownpregnancy · 04/09/2020 17:58

I think they are just going to leave me @Dreamcatcher34 and let my body donuts thing.
Walks and bouncing on the ball is my daily activities now! 😂
Though I can't bounce on my ball for too long as it makes me feel sick! 🤪 🤢

I had something similar at a similar time with DC2. In the end everything stopped and I continued the pregnancy as normal and they arrived two days before their due date. Sorry, maybe not what you wan to hear right now if it's uncomfortable!

lockdownpregnancy · 04/09/2020 21:01

@badg3r not really 😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪 but I know he will come when he's ready. I've gotten this far! A few more weeks won't make any difference! (Said with gritted teeth 😬😬😬) x

Sounds like DS. On and off contractions for two days and not much. Then my waters broke. He was born 5 hours later at 36.4. He was posterior. Have you asked?

lockdownpregnancy · 05/09/2020 09:58

@OhTheRoses what do you mean posterior?
If you're talking about the position of baby then he's fully engaged and ready to go.
Fat lot happened yesterday so who knows when he will an appearance! Technically I still have 3 weeks left!
I'll just try and enjoy the naps I'm managing to get in! 🤪

Posterior position means back to back.

lockdownpregnancy · 05/09/2020 11:33

Oh right I see! Sorry! FTM here so some of the terminology is lost on me! 🤪
Baby was posterior but he turned around about 30 weeks and my god didn't I know it! I've had a scan since then so I had confirmation that he's definitely where he should be 💪🏻
Getting some wicked pelvic and back pains again today. They woke me up at 6am this morning and keep coming but I'm managing to do house work and porter around so I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt!
