Period or problematic bleeding?

Sorry for the TMI.

Baby 3 is a month old today. Lochia has been light and all but gone. Yesterday I started what seems like a heavy period which has continued, although it's been painless which it wouldn't usually be.

Exclusively breastfeeding, baby feeding very well, period returned in the same circs after about 3 months with my other two babies. I'm almost 43, maybe it's an age thing?

If it's back, fine, but I'm wondering if I should be worried, and if so, who do I call a month PP? Midwife? GP?

Hiya, I'm experiencing exactly the same. Gave birth 6 weeks ago, lochia eased down to yellow and now all of a sudden im bleeding heavily. Doesn't hurt like a period pain either. Very confused

I spoke to my midwife but she's so ditsy. She said no pain or smell means it's unlikely to be an infection. She said it was highly unusual, not heard of anyone getting a period back so early while feeding and to ask the GP at my 6 week check. Much use as a chocolate teapot.
