Am I in labour...?

I have lower back & period-type pain, but it's not coming and going as much as I thought it would for contractions - it's almost constant. Does anyone know if this might be it...?

It might be, I had something similar with DS2, but it equally might not. It is probably too soon to tell.

Fingers crossed though!

GingGangGooley · 05/10/2007 10:06

It could be the very very early stages or just braxton hicks.

Once you are in labour you will know!

Lulumama · 05/10/2007 10:07

when are you due? what position is your baby in? it is not labour, right now, but whether it becomes labour or not, well, that;s anyones guess

potter around, you;ll know if it is 'it'

MarsLady · 05/10/2007 10:08

Could be the very early stages. I'd just get on with your day and do normal things and don't think about it too much. Try to stay relax and if it builds into contractions relax and let them come.

I'm sure we'll see lulumama and Klaw etc along soon.

MarsLady · 05/10/2007 10:08

Ah............ there she is!

lazycat · 05/10/2007 10:10

Thanks for your help! Due on 10th, so very close, and have been told that baby is head down & 2 or 3/5 engaged (but that was a week ago).

MarsLady · 05/10/2007 11:17

lazycat.... do you have photos that you've been meaning to sort into albums?

You should do that or a project like it today!

Fret not my angel... you'll know when labour comes!

lazycat · 05/10/2007 12:16

Actually I do... that's rather a good idea!

OP posts:
MarsLady · 05/10/2007 15:34

How's the photo sorting going?

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 05/10/2007 21:16

It's gone quiet, lazy cat, you either have a lot of photo's to sort ar you are in labour.
Hoping it's the later and all the best. xxx

missyhols · 05/10/2007 21:23

God i'm so jealous. Can't wait to do it again. Good luck!

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 05/10/2007 21:52

Missy, behave it was only a few weeks ago! It was fun for us though so I can't wait for you to do it all again either.

ChainKLAWmassacre · 05/10/2007 22:14

Klaw arrives rather belatedly....

have I missed it all?

or has Lazycat been busy carrying on as normal and is now getting a good night's sleep in anticipation of labour starting soon?...

GingGangGooley · 07/10/2007 16:40

Well I've been mad cleaning the house (and eating yummy muffins thanks mars!!)

Wondering if Lazycat is now cuddling a new bundle!!!

x

ScaryScienceT · 07/10/2007 16:42

Labour is regular contractions that you can pretty much time by the clock.

All contractions - regular or not - are a good sign. It means your body is getting ready for the big day. Braxton Hicks contractions get your baby into the ideal position for birth, so every contraction is worthwhile.

lazycat · 09/10/2007 10:11

hello again!
Unfortunately no bundle yet - I've been having pains on and off, but nothing regular. MW tomorrow, so hopefully will find out more then...
