What did you do to start labour spontaneously?

I know, I know. Nothing will work if the baby is not ready. But as I am hitting the 40 weeks mark I am getting very bored and eager to meet my DC.
Midwife suggested I keep taking long walks and bouncing on my ball - also DDT if we feel like it. I will continue to do all these things but did you find any of these worked the day your labour started?
And, how did it start for you? Please come and entertain a bored woman, desperate for labour to start :)
Thank you!!!

I wasn't trying to induce labour, baby was high up, not started to engage, but at 35+3 we had a day out, lots of walking, including stairs, one nice coffee and my waters broke in the evening.

I tried everything from 37 weeks! My first sweep I walked for miles and bounced for hours and nothing. I had a 2nd sweep at +5 and they told me I was still only 1cm dilated - I went home and cried for a good hour, then napped on the sofa all afternoon cus I was so upset. Did zero moving about like you should. Labour started that night
