Using TENS machine before labour

My TENS machine is arriving today on hire (just turned 37 weeks pg). Would I be able to use it straight away, for my back pain? Or is that a bad idea, do you think? I can't find anything online about this specifically. Just wondered if anyone had done it.

Also want to know this, 35 weeks and crippling hip pain!

I'm sure I read that you can use it from 37 weeks.
I used mine from 39 (that was when I brought it) and it helped with my back pain.

My chiropractor said not to until you're in labour, as you could bring it on when you're not ready. He did say he would help me with proper placement of the pads if in pain or discomfort to ensure maximum relief without starting Labour off, so maybe have a chat with a local chiropractor for help with where to pop the pads to help you out?
