Same here. 41+2 currently,
I’ve tried all the home remedies, also had 3 sweeps.
Baby will come when shes ready

I had a big slice of chocolate cake (I was due on my own birthday) and went into labour that night.

And even if it doesn't work, chocolate cake is never a bad idea 😂

DE came 11 days late, the day before I was due to be induced. The only thing I did differently the day before I went into labour was loads of walking. I walked round town all day shopping and I was exhausted. I went into labour the next morning. No idea if that even helped but it was the only thing I'd done differently.

DS not DE sorry!

Walking / Sex / Walking / Sex

Sorry if that's not what you want to hear!

NameChange30 · 03/08/2020 20:20

How far along are you?

Sex! It's actually evidence-based. The hormones will help.

DS was born 11 days after his due date, I went into labour naturally within hours of having sex.

You could also try acupuncture, didn't seem to do much to help me go into labour but it was relaxing at least.

I had a pregnancy back massage and reflexology on my feet, felt nauseous during the reflexology and had my show that night, went into labour a couple of days after that (at 37+4)

coffeechocolatecoffee · 03/08/2020 20:41

Sadly nothing worked for me - tried all the 'natural' methods - pineapple, spicy food, dates, sex, exercise (long walks plus daily swimming and was running after a toddler anyway!)

Also tried the expensive options of acupuncture and reflexology - helped me sleep well but no sign of labour!

Get on that ball! I was on it constantly for a week and DD arrived a day early, DS was on due date

numnumnum · 04/08/2020 07:08

Thank you all for replying! Will go for a long walk today and attempt to persuade DH to try sex tonight, it's not an easy task at 9 months pregnant hahaha Grin have been bouncing on my ball almost all day every day but I'll keep that up 🤞🏻 why I thought a summer baby would be a good idea I'll never know 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm 41+2 today and I've been trying everything!!! I am booked in for another sweep today - had one last week and had to ask the midwife to stop as was so uncomfortable. Then induction booked for tomorrow which I was hoping wouldn't be required - but it's looking like it is! 😭

According to QI, the only proven one is nipple stimulation, but it's got to be for between 1 and 3 hours on one side at a time.

I think the birthing ball might've helped me- a rotation motion, like a slow hula hoop.
