Are these my waters?

I've phoned triage, I've been told to stick a pad on and call back.

But, I've had the odd trickle today but with the heat etc it could've easily been sweat (sorry!)

But I've been lay on the sofa and when I've opened my legs I've noticed ive been pretty wet/felt a small pool of something.

I've just gotten up and this has "fallen" from my vagina.

I'm officially 39weeks (4 minutes ago!) and this is baby number 1 so I haven't a clue. And all my mum friends are asleep.

Slight bit of back ache..

Are these my waters?

Sounds like it with the back ache. With both of mine I was never 100% sure if it was my waters or if I'd wet myself 😂 Good luck!

Babyshine2020 · 01/08/2020 00:15

@ILoveAnOwl currently my state of mind. I'm pretty hydrated too so god knows!

Oooh! exciting!

Nicknamegoeshere · 01/08/2020 00:19

Looks likely. Don't panic! Mine partially went at 6 am (39+1) on the Saturday, baby wasn't born until 8 am the following Tuesday (third baby, home birth)!!! Good luck Smile

Nicknamegoeshere · 01/08/2020 00:20

Lovely and clear too Smile

Babyshine2020 · 01/08/2020 00:20

@Nicknamegoeshere I've said this to my husband, and he's gone back to sleep! But I'm clock watching now (as you'd probably expect).

Excited/scared/happy at the moment. Not a clue what's going to happen!

Mine started like that, everytime I got up from laying down I'd have another gush, mine was a bit bloody. Labour started within the hour for me, fingers crossed for you :)

latheritup · 01/08/2020 00:25

Sure does. Call your maternity ward and wake your husband up. Good luck Smile

Nicknamegoeshere · 01/08/2020 00:26

You'll probably start going into labour before too long. I was one of the far more unusual ones and didn't for ages! My mw advice was absolutely nothing in your vagina, you can shower but just with water and no products, check temp every four hours, seek help if waters change from clear (but a little bit of a bloody show is normal). This is all just reducing infection risk x

Babyshine2020 · 01/08/2020 01:19

I'm at triage now!
Filled 3 pads in an hour and they're starting to get a little bloody so who knows!!!
Argh

@Babyshine2020 That's a good sign, it likely means things are progressing! Good luck - being a mummy is amazing! Lying here with my nine week-old fast asleep next to me and still feel in awe even though she is my third! You've got this Smile

denbyellie · 01/08/2020 01:48

So exciting for you! Let us know how you get on x

Babyshine2020 · 01/08/2020 02:36

My blood pressure is through the roof so we're giving it an hour and if it doesn't go down I'll be getting induced.

Big mixture of emotions but no contractions or anything. I'm just a walking wet floor sign Blush

Weenurse · 01/08/2020 02:39

Good luck 💐

Babyshine2020 · 01/08/2020 05:10

Blood pressure will not come down for the life of me!
My nice midwife lead birth is now on a labour ward. 3 contractions in 10 now so we're progressing. Hubby is allowed to join!
