Hi all
I had my 4th c section 3 weeks ago. All went well and I seem to be healing well too. However, I have a large lump about the size of a grapefruit under my belly button above/above my scar. Originally I thought it was swelling but it hasn’t reduced in size at all yet. Has anyone else experienced this? As it doesn’t hurt I haven’t made a doctors appointment or mentioned it to the midwife (I tend to forget it’s even there most the time) but will ask about it at our6/8 week check. Just wondered if anyone knew what it could be.

That sounds really strange and I would be bringing this up before your 6/8 week check. Something being painless doesn't mean it's not an issue. Hope it's all okay but get it checked out :)

I had something very similar. I felt two lumps inside my stomach that felt slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Under belly button and above scar. I could feel them much more laid on side. Did mention it to midwife but typically when I did I couldn't feel them. I now cant feel them 8 weeks post c section but midwife mentioned it may be something to do with taking the injections in my tummy for six weeks to prevent blood clots. I did hate the feeling of them it made me feel extremely anxious. Midwife wsnt concerned though and just said to mention it at six week check up- but they had gone before this

@Satstar I’ve been on Tinzaparin since I was 28 weeks pregnant and I’m finding the injections more difficult to inject in to most of my stomach now so possibly related. I did end up phoning 111 yesterday (mainly as I can’t drive post c section and my partner gets home from work at 8pm every night) to see if they thought I needed to see an out of ours doctor but they said as it’s not causing any pain and i don’t have a temperature it will be fine to wait for our 6 week check. He mentioned my injections and also said it could be swelling but he wasn’t concerned at this point. Hopefully it will go as it makes me feel queasy just thinking about it 🤢

I felt so anxious everytime I could feel them so it got to the point I just tried not to touch my stomach Grin because it made me feel so queasy and anxious to think about. Good luck and I'm sure it will disappear like mine did x

@ me too. It’s gross. 🤣 I just try not to touch or bend when I’m sat down as I can feel it then too.

@Satstar after reading your post I decided to stop taking the Tinzaparin (I’ve been on it since I was 28 weeks pregnant and baby is now 4 weeks and it was getting really hard to inject myself and the bruising was awful! Well... the lump has gone! It must be related to the blood thinning drugs or it’s a bloomin big coincidence. Anyway I’m not constantly feeling queasy anymore and o can touch my stomach again :)
