Hi guys! Have googled and it seems to be normal at 40weeks to have period pains (mild) with no sign of contractions. I'm a first time mum so wondering if anyone else experienced this and how long it was before contractions started?

Yes!! About 4 days!! Best of luck 😊

About 3 days! Don't worry the mild pains will be still doing good stuff to prepare everything! Think of it as the very early stages and rest as much as possible. Good luck x

I'm in the same boat, 40+2 today. FTM so no advice, but I feel you. Cramping (like period pains) every now and again, but no contractions.

Every morning I wake up pain-free and disappointed. Bring the pain! Let's hope it will kickstart for us very soon.. good luck!

Any progress?

Hi @OverTheRainbow88 thanks for checking in! No progress yet unfortunately. Cramping is getting more frequent but not yet developed into contractions. Hoping for labour to develop this weekend! X
