Due week has arrived

I've reached my due week! No baby yet. Getting really bored and frustrated. Particularly by all the : 'any sign of baby yet' text messages - all meaning well but not helpful. Anyone got any words of wisdom to keep my spirit up?

Is this your first baby? If so, leave the house with ZERO PREP and a very small bag, or even no bag. You'll get what I mean soon...

Just text them back and say, “no, will be in touch once baby has arrived” then try and relax.

I had DD a month early so didn’t have the waiting around part of pregnancy but given the chance I would have sat on my bum, ate some good food and made the most of time with DH.

Practical advice would be to make sure you’ve everything you need in your bags, empty washing basket, prep some freezer food and book your food delivery slots for the next few weeks. I made up a changing caddy for the living room with wipes, nappies, clothes etc for baby which was really useful!

Your so nearly there, best of Iuck x

I can really relate to the constant messages and need to find a nice way of saying to friends and family to please stop asking me as find it quite pressurising. I'm 5 days 'overdue' now - not that I ever expected her to come on the due date - and lacking in patience. I don't have any advice or wise words, but I'm just trying to stay calm and positive, and as much as possible carry on my day as I normally would. At least we know it is only a matter of days now. Good luck to you - exciting times ahead :-)
