ELCS after EMCS

My first daughter was born by emergency C-section. The birth was traumatic for me because I had crazy contractions for very long time (days) and only dilated till about 4 cm before I got infection. The baby was back to back so the pain was absolutely disgusting. I am now 25 weeks pregnant with my 2nd one. At the beginning of my appointments midwife was happy for me to choose if I want planned section or vaginal birth. Because I was very sure of my decision she then said I gotta go under consultant. After my 16 weeks appointment with consultant he just asked me why I am not considering VB but wrote down planned csection. After 20 weeks I suddenly get a call from a midwife from birthing option dep and here she just literally wanted to convince me not to do planned section. I really feel pressured by her to do something I don't want to do. I told her i am only going for elcs but she wants to talk again at 28 weeks. I have a scan (growth scan, baby is growing small due to restricted blood flow) & consultant appointment to talk about scan results. And also that day I have birthing option call again. Anyone had similar that someone tried to talk you out of elcs after emcs and felt like they are forcing to something you don't want to do?
This is in Kingston hospital in London.

Yes, my consultant tried to talk me out of it (don't you want to feel like you tried?). It's an awful feeling having to fight for an ELCS. I hated the way everyone assumed I couldn't think for myself, even though I'd researched all my risks and the NICE guidance.

As it sounds like your consultant has already approved your request you do not need to engage with the midwife on this, just keep repeating: thanks for the offer but the consultant has already said I'll be having an ELCS and I'm happy with this choice.

When you see the consultant after the scan, start asking for a date for your ELCS. Good luck Flowers
