Hi, I’m due in about 5 weeks to have a son and I’m booked at the LRI. I’m just wondering what it’s like or what anyone’s experiences were. Also what it’s like to have a baby during the COVID pandemic! Thanks 😀

Not during the pandemic but I can't fault them. Midwives were lovely, I felt cared for.

One slightly sadistic cow of an anaesthetist (I've got crap veins and no one could get a canular in) she was just mean and grumpy, but her aside all was good. The one who did my epidural however, he was lovely.

I had to stay in for 4 days afterwards due to blood pressure issues, was quite nice having 3 meals a day and support when needed
