Disappearing act...

I'm 39 weeks today & within the last couple of hours my usually rather large & round bump has pretty much completely disappeared & I just look like I've had a big dinner.

Baby is completely fine - she's wriggling around like normal, I've had no plug/show etc., bit of an achey back which is nothing new - but nothing else. I'm not concerned enough to contact the maternity unit & Dr. Google isn't giving me many clues.

This is my 2nd baby & I can't remember this happening with DD1 as it was over 6 years ago.

I don't want to get my hopes up that anything might happen anytime soon (as knowing my luck it probably won't!) but I can't help to wonder as I have never experienced this before.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks ❤️

It might be possible that baby is engaged and ready? I remember with my first, my belly definitely got smaller a week before she arrived and was very soft at the top of my bump as she had dropped down ready for her appearance. Good luck Grin

@2CatsAndABaby Shes been engaged since I was 28 weeks 😅 given me a lot of false hopes of an early arrival - but she's still in there!

Bump popped back out the next day so definitely don't think she'll be here any time soon 😒

Yes, my first was engaged from 25 weeks haha. My bump was measuring small at the time and had to go for a growth scan. The sonographer had to remove my trousers just to find her head!!

She's probably gone up to build momentum for her nose-dive out of there Grin hope she makes her appearance soon. I'm sure her big sister is so excited to meet her
