hiya,

the funding would cover the training costs and the cost of setting up a website and getting leaflets printed.
I n scotland we can get up to a grand which would be a great help in covering the training costs remembering that doula training on happens in certain places and there is travel costs involved.
klaw your in scotland let me know how you get on with the bgateway.

Mmmm, when I spoke to Business Gateway they said there was no funding to help with training/curse costs... So a GP friend sponsored me and paid for cost of course and got me books, which I intend to repay when finances allow.

At the moment I use one of these free website hosting sites (you have to put up with ads and also the quirks of the Flash site).

But it would be good to get a proper domain and to also get my leaflets done. However, what's holding me back is that as a previous Grpahic Artist I want to do my design stuff myself, but my Photoshop and Freehand are on my back up hard drive which has gone tits up! And I've not had time, inclination or money to get it sorted.

Have you used the service? Tell me more!

... that'll be why I never got any offers, I'm 40 now! So that's very ageist of them! Are you not allowed to start up a business after 30!

Dp is of the opinion that Business Gateway are as much use as a Chocolate Fireguard....
