How soon period after birth?

i gave birth to ds2 on july 28. i had to stop breastfeeding at 6 weeks ie 2 weeks ago. with ds 1 no period til 10 months post his birth and i breastfed him til 9 months. yesterday and today i have had light bleeding - could this be my period starting again? only 2 months after birth?? any thoughts? thanks lucy

Hi, both my periods were back to normal within about 8-10 weeks. I guess everyone varies so I don't think you need to panic!

Both my periods - Doh! I don't mean I've literally only ever had two, but I have had two children......

mine went back to normal about a month after

I am still BFing at 12m and mine came back at 6 weeks. Everyone is different.
