Water birth question

If you have a water birth, can you have delayed cord-clamping too?

I think I read somewhere that you can still have the injection if you want delayed clamping as it usually takes a little while to work. Anyone had any experience?

I've had rubbish iron levels all through pregnancy so I'm thinking that giving baby a few minutes of extra placenta-juices would be a good idea.

I had a water birth and delayed cord clamping!

I think we sat for 5 mins or so in the pool then got out. - I had said at first I didn’t want the injection and for the placenta to come out naturally, but then I was knackered and wanted to get cleaned up so had the injection, then placenta came out in about 3 mins.

Great, thank you. That sounds like what I'm hoping for. Fingers crossed!
