Uterus after birth question

Has anyone ever had there uterus not go down as quick as it should after birth ? I'm day 5 postnatal and my uterus is still at or just above the umbilicus which the midwife said usually its lower than that by now but never said anything else other than they will check again on day 10 and to watch out for certain symptoms.

When I gave birth I had a PPH and the doctor had to manually massage my stomach and manually remove clots from inside me but after all that was done said everything looked ok.

@mummy1214 hello hun I had the same problem as you but I was put on drips and given 2 sets of injection because of my blood loss and the clots,Did u have lots of blood loss as well as the clots? Maybe call your maternity helpline and have a chat with one of the midwifes..I'm feeling rubbish still now and I'm on 12 day postpartum also seem to have gotten anxiety and mini panic attacks from the whole thing "/ I have a midwife coming back on Monday so I will be getting her to check just before our discharge but mine was pretty low on day 1, hopefully this wi bump your post and an actual midwife will come along Xx
