Outpatient induction?

Hi all, has anyone any nice outpatient induction stories please? I've had the 24 hour pessary put in at 1.30pm today, nothing changing at the moment, I'm 40+5 today and would reeeeeaalllllly love things to happen naturally now!! I have severe SPD and SI joint pain which along with threats of a very large baby are what made me decide to go ahead with induction (baby estimated 8lbs 8ozs 2 weeks ago!)

I've done the hypnobirthing course with the positive birth company and would really like to avoid epidurals, drips etc so would love to hear your stories, please pray for me that things happen before 1.30pm tomorrow!! 🤞🤞

Bumping this because I'm due to have an outpatient induction on Monday (will be 41+5). Also OP how did things go in the end? Fingers crossed for you things are progressing!

Hi hun it was a bit of a disaster, had the pessary taken out and then told the only option is to wait for a bed on delivery which could be days and was asked if I wanted to stay in to wait? Told them absolutely not and am now at home no further along!! I was 1cm dilated from the pessary and that's it, cervix still posterior and long.

Don't let it deter you though, just don't let them try n tell u the only option is this or this, I questioned everything! My birth plan is all hypnobirthing and no epidural and it's going the total opposite way but u can still maintain some control if ur persistent.
