Perineum issue

So i had My baby 3 months ago now, normal delivery with 2nd degree tear!!
I noticed at 8 weeks that my perineum felt what i can describe as flabby skin on one side only!! Now iv never had pain from it nor discomfort to have noticed anything had gone wrong with my stitches!!
I have tried to google (i know bad idea) but can i find anywhere what I'm describing... no!! Im just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience!

When iv looked its bright pink and seems to have a hang, i feel like i should go to the doctors but given in the current situation i didn't want to waste doctors time to be told..'oh its rather normal'

@xdiamond90x

That doesn't sound normal. I've had second degree tear and episiotomy due to forceps.

I do not have what you describe. Though have pain...am 6 months postpartum.

They use dissolvable stitches, maybe yours dissolved too quick or did not hold. In my experience I would go see a gp. If it was me, I would see a male gp with a chaperone. From my experience you are less likely to get an attitude from a man about this. I went to female gps initially but got ooh you're gaping, or oh what do you expect that I had of thing. I saw one gp when I was pregnant who said GPS don't deal with pregnant women off to the midwife, she was pretty rude...

Btw how do you know what to expect when no one tells you beforehand?!

Hope you get sorted and do pelvic floor exercises as much as you can. 💐

@xdiamond90x

Sorry meant to add...when I saw male gp they arranged an appointment with a gynaecologist straight away. They were really helpful!

Firstly thanks for replying, i feel like im going out of my mind with it!! Yeah its rather difficult to explain, one side it is normal skin and feels tight then the other side im trying to describe the skin feels what i can only describe as flabby/loose.

I will try and ring the doctors today to see if i get seen, i didnt know whether it was the gp or the midwife i see but ill try to enquire a doctor.!!

I feel a numpty for leaving it as i thought it was just swollen still but surely 3 months now it shouldnt be like that!! My oh just goes yeah looks normal to me but it really isnt iv looked. Its rather pink pink compare to the rest which is my skin colouring. So its defo not right!!

Thanks for that though its made me realise im not over reacting
