Elecs C section - where were you on the list?

I've been given the option of maybe going last on the list for C section and possible getting more time in recovery with my partner as there might not be anyone following me if I'm last (emergency's excepting of course)

Anyone who's had a c section - where were you on the list and what time did you have it? Where would you choose to be?

I had an emergency c section last week and my little one was born about 7.15pm. My partner got to stay until just before midnight in recovery. I had been told partners got to stay on average about a couple of hours but I imagine that depends on who else is coming through.

First on the afternoon list baby born at 2.18pm partner got to stay in recovery about 45 mins tops.

I was last on the list so decided to nap as I hadn't slept. As I shut my eyes a midwife popped in and said 'hello. Change of plan, we're going now. Come on' at about 10. My partner stayed until 8pm
