2nd baby post emergency c section?

Hi guys, this is my first time ever posting on this. I have a list of questions and would love to hear experiences from other mums. If you had an emergency c section:

• how long did you wait to get pregnant with baby 2?
• did you bother with Vbac or go elective?
• did you prefer a small or larger age gap?

I have close family members who had kids close in age and find this suits them best (I.e getting sleepless nights done in a condensed way). However none of them have had a c section. But I do know of two people who had conceived one year after a c section who have both had positive Vbac experience which gives me hope. So I just would like hear others experiences

I'm pregnant with #2. My periods didn't return until five days after #1's birthday as I was breastfeeding but I fell pregnant on first cycle. I was initially all for elective section but I am now swaying towards VBAC and am going to speak to my MW next week about it.

I wanted a small gap between them so they have a close bond but also so we get everything out the way in one go. Would have liked a smaller gap but wasn't possible.

I got pregnant with DS2 just after DS1 turned 2. I purposely wanted an approx 3 year age gap mainly due to nursery funding.

I had absolutely no interest in a VBAC and went straight to an elective which was great! I think I’d want to wait at least a year after a section to make sure you are as healed as possible from the surgery if possible.

I got pregnant the first month of trying when DC1 was 15 months old, and then had a MMC (nothing to do with the EMCS, just one of those things). Conceived again quickly, and there will be a 2 year 3 month age gap.

The EMCS didn't play any part in my decision to TTC no 2, although I was told in the hospital to wait a year. Had no intentions of going that quickly anyway!

I also have no interest in a VBAC, and will be very happily having an ELCS. This was agreed at my booking appointment with no problems.
