Just wondering if anyone has had any experience on this hospitals? I'm 32 weeks pregnant, my first choice is hexham as it's close and lovely I had my first there but I had strep B with my second so had to go to rvi( 6 years ago so cramlington wasnt there yet) I hear good things about both, my friend rave around how good the rvi is but my experience last time wasnt very good. I didnt seem to get the support that I needed or wanted, but that's over 6 years ago. Any advice would be amazing 😁

Hi Flumo just read your post I thought 'is that me?!' I'm 38weeks and booked in for c-section on 13th May at Cramlington. My first choice was Hexham too but due to having a high risk pregnancy it wasn't an option in the end. This is my first baby so I don't have experience in either hospital, however my thinking was RVI is much busier at the moment with high numbers of COVID19 cases and I felt much more relaxed about being at Cramilington (whether that's rational thinking or not, I'm not sure!). I went there a couple of weeks ago as I was worried about reduced movements. Everyone was lovely, I was well looked after and the hospital was quiet and calm which really reassured me. Hope that helps a little!

Ah thank you :) how crazy me must be near to each other. The midwifes keep changing there mind about me being able to go to hexham so hoepfully they will let me as it would be alot easier. I've heard some really good stuff about cramlington hospital so I'll probably be going there if I cant get to hexham. Good luck with your c-section, not long 🤗
