Constipation after C-section

Hello!

Due my second C-section on Wednesday ( although currently showing early labour signs so who knows!)
I had an emergency one the first time round and one of the main things I remember is how absolutely f**king awful the first poo was!
So I'm hoping to prevent a repeat experience this time!
I've got bran flakes in, those fibre brownie things in, but what else can you suggest?
The only thing I can't deal with is liquid medicine as it makes me want to vomit.
Thank you Smile

My midwives gave me Lactulose which helped. Also peppermint tea helped with the pain from bloating.

Good luck!x

Dried apricots and dried prunes.

Stool softeners, supermarkets probably sell them. Pooing was fine both times but the trapped wind...

I made some chocolate and date truffles and ate a lot of them post section. No problems at all (despite being on iron supplements too!)
