I think I've just lost my mucus plug...33 weeks tomorrow

Hi,

No pics, in a bit of shock. Went for a wee and wiped and there was this gloopy discharge which was sort of brown and clear? It was about the size of a 2p coin. I'm trying not to freak out, no other symptoms except the odd cramping feeling but there's no consistency to that and been feeling that way for days. I'm panicking because I'm only 33 weeks tomorrow x

Hi ! Try not to worry ! I lost mine around 36 weeks and my little one for a week overdue ! If your too worried or want some reassurance maybe give your midwife a call? She might be able to put your mind at ease !x

@MummyOf1LO thanks for replying. I rang the midwife and she said it was absolutely fine as long as my waters haven't broken and I'm not getting contractions. Phew! I got such a shock when I saw it, wasn't expecting to this early x

There you go ! So try not to worry about it ! And oh I know haha I was the same with it being my first one I had no idea wtf was going on but then I had to wait an extra week before she even wanted to come out 😂x Best of luck !!

As your midwife reassured you - your mucus plug can come out at any stage and replenish itself, so is not always a sign of labour.
