COVID and Induction

I was just wondering whether anyone had gone through this yet in the current situation?

I was aware if I was being induced on a ward my OH wouldn't be able to attend until I was in active labour. However, as I have to be monitored quite closely I'm going to have my own room in the Delivery Suite from the get go. The current guidance is saying if you're in a single room that you do not have to walk through a ward to get to then your partner can stay. My midwife confirmed this was right last week and that I would in fact have my OH there through induction if I do in fact need one.

The guidance hasn't changed but I've been told by Basildon Hospital that even though I would have my own room, my OH is still not allowed to be there for induction and would only be contacted when I'm in active labour. They are worried that some rooms have shared facilities and if my induction was to take a long time, OH would have to leave and come back.

I'm not arguing with the logic given, just interested what other hospitals are doing with ladies who are induced in a single room?
